What is an Editor Element? (WIP)
Editor Elements
An element editor is a component built for use in wix editor. Such a component works 'naturally' in the editor's work environment by being fully connected to all the editor's capabilities.
By using an editor element, you can easily expose different systems within the editor environment (such as animations, multilingual, uniform design options for all editor components, data connection, direct access to the links model, media manager access option, image editing and list management for each component). Creating an editor element is done by standards enforced in the component group and in coordination with the editor groups and especially with the platform in the editor.
There are other products in the editor that are not 'Editor Elements', for example installing a store inside the editor will result in a store with an amazingly packaged product, but the components and how they are edited behave differently than components built in the editor. This causes inconsistency and often affects performance, accessibility and SEO. In addition, the freedom of users to edit every detail within the store packaging for example, is very limited. For now this is a great solution for the verticals in Wix, but the goal is to have all Wix products edited by Editor Elements, it's basically Wix on Wix.
